My name is Sam Duvall.
I'm a simple guy who desires a simple life. Just a year out of college and I'm still not sure yet where I'm headed in this world. I've gone through many emotional hardships in my childhood years that have led me to where I am now, thanks to the help of my loving family and faithful friends. But not just them - for as long as I can remember, there have been two things I've held onto through both the good and bad times, and they always raise my spirits.
Those things are my love of art and Japanese animation/entertainment. I've been drawing and doodling since elementary school. It was one of my favorite activities when I was bored or wanted to pass the time. And since middle school, ever since I watched my first episode of Dragonball Z, I became an 'otaku' fanboy of anime. I was fascinated with the different characters and stories that Japan was dishing out, many of them vastly different from anything on American television. I have an active imagination, so I imagined all kinds of stories based on the stories I'd seen. In time, I created a story I could truly call my own. And not long after that, I drew what I thought the characters of my story would look like.
And the rest is history. Ever since that day my love of art and anime have been one in the same through the character drawings I envision and create. These drawings, for the longest time, have been for my own personal enjoyment, and likewise the story they are made for is also written for my own enjoyment. For the first time I have decided to share my art with anyone I can, and this blog is a showcase for it. Most if not all of the images you'll find here are heavily influenced by Japanese culture and anime drawing styles. Feel free to browse the site, and I hope you enjoy my imagination!
